Shell Books
These books are an exploration of non-rectangular books, drawing inspiration from Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus. Venus is part of the artists’ books collection at the Tisch Library at Tufts University.
Everyday Alchemy
Everyday Alchemy is a series of tactile books and book-like objects that I displayed as part of my senior thesis show, Liminal Space, at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. Each viewer was invited to sit in the space and touch and read each piece. Containers for reflection were also included, and I received over 70 responses from viewers about the work.
Eclipse
This book is a pop-up book about the full solar eclipse that happened in the United States on August 21, 2017. It is made from paper and binder’s board, and is housed in a tin container. Eclipse is part of the zine collection at the SMFA Library.
Newspaper Book
The pages of this book were created out of newspaper, and the drawings, paintings, and collages worked back into the pages as a response to the content.
